“Answers to my Catholic Friends” by Thomas F. Heinze part 4
A Catholic reply to Protestant “[mis]- Understandings” Part
4
FRIENDS, I am prefacing this section with a brief “How to Understand
the Bible Lesson”
I learned something today
listening to Father Mitch Pacqa [EWTN] during this mornings Mass Homily.
Actually, if one were to think about it in these terms, one could easily grasp
the reality and Wisdom behind the teaching.
There is a
hierarchy of “Authority of Biblical Teaching” that I never gave thought too.
[Shame on me].
The
Four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are what everything else in the Bible must affirm and
conform too.
WHY? Because they ARE the New Covenant Teachings of
Jesus Christ who is either quoted directly or who PROMISES [God can’t break His
promise] to guide, protect and personally warrant these teachings.
John.14: 26 “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send
in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance
all that I have said to you.”
John 20:21-22 “ Jesus
said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even
so I send you." And when he had
said this, he breathed on them, and said to them,
"Receive
the Holy Spirit.
.. John 17:15-19 “I [Jesus] do not pray
that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them
from the evil one.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the
world. Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth. As thou didst send me
into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may
be consecrated in truth”
The Gospels are followed in authority by the balance of the
New Testament because it testifies to the New. Current and Eternal Covenant.
Then the Old Testament which points to the New Testament.
John 14: 6 “Jesus said
to him, "I am the way, and the truth,
and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.
Every New Testament, especially the four Gospels, teaching that
quotes Christ Himself is to be taken literally! One makes a GRAVE ERROR in
not doing so; in trying to circumvent and apply mere human understanding to
Devine Pronouncements, one puts
their own salvation at Grave Risk. …
John 1: 1 -2, 9-10 “In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning
with God;
The true light that enlightens every
man was coming into the world. He was in
the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not.” .
. FRIEND YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE IN THIS GROUP OF
UNBELIEVERS!
“Judge NOT
the Word of God by how it meets my own [limited] understanding; NO! Judge human
thought; mere human understanding BY God’s ACTUAL WORDS!”
Isaiah 55:3, 6-11
“Incline your
ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; … "Seek the LORD while
[AND WHERE] he may be found, call upon him while he is near;
[In the manner Ordained by God Himself] …
let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have
mercy on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts
are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD
. [Thus
I have provided for you certain MEN Guided and Protected by Me to Translate My
Words]
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways
higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
[Which Means
NOT just anyone can understand what the Bible actually teachers]
"For
as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and return not thither but
water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed
[Knowledge
/and Understanding]
to the sower
[TEACHER]
and bread to
the eater,
[RIGHT Knowledge and Understanding to those who HEAR the Word
of God]
so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not
[Meaning it BETTER NOT]
return to me empty, but it shall
accomplish that which I purpose,
[IF IT IS ACCPTED, Understood and
APPLIED]
and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
“What
Is The Most Important Difference Between Protestants and Catholics?”
John 15: 26-27
SETS UP WHO CHRIST IS SPEAKING TOO IN JOHN 16:12-15 …
“But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from
the Father, he will bear witness to me; and you
also are witnesses, because you have
been with me from the beginning“. ..
John
16: 12-15 "I have yet many things to say to you, but you
cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth
comes, he will guide you into all the truth; [Christ hear is
speaking to the Apostles and through THEM to today’s CC] for he will not
speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will
declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is
mine and declare it to you. “
THIS IS
FULFILLED IN JOHN 20:21-22
Isa.29: 16 ” You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded
as the clay; that the thing made should say of its maker, "He did not make
me"; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, "He has no
understanding"?… Isa.45: 9 "Woe to him who strives with his Maker, an earthen vessel
with the potter! … Does the clay say to him who fashions it, `What are
you making'? or `Your work has no handles'?” … Isa.64: 8 “Yet, O LORD, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou art
our potter; we are all the work of thy hand.”
It is a fact
that God, in order to be God; must be good; and must make available to every
soul at least sufficient grace that they MIGHT know Him. …“Might” in this
application means it is up to us to accept and correctly apply it.
Isa.43 Verses 7and 21: “every one who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made." AND the people whom I formed for
myself that they
might declare my
praise.”
Jer.5: 3 “O LORD, do not thy eyes look for truth? Thou hast smitten
them, but they felt no anguish; thou hast consumed them, but they refused to
take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; they have refused
to repent.”
4Ezra.9: 11 “and as many as scorned my law while they still had freedom,
and did not understand but despised it while an opportunity of repentance was
still open to them,”
Mark.1: 4, 15: “John the baptizer appeared in the wilderness, preaching a
baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. …and saying, "The time
is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the
gospel."
I will share all of the key points and teachings of our friend
Thomas, but only respond [and then briefly], to but a few of his thoughts.
Then I will share what the Catholic Church [and
therefore God Himself] teaches is absolutely necessary for ones personal
salvation;
fully supported by the
bible, because this is what Christ Himself demands.
It really is a “take it or leave it proposition.”
1. [A Direct quote] “We
cannot merit salvation..
‘cursed is he who does not
abide by
EVERYTHING [my emphasis]
written in the book of the law‘ ” Gal.3:10 “God ask us to
abide by “everything
” NOT to be better than others. If my friends, this is actually understood and
accepted; why then is it time after time disobeyed? Ignored? Or denied by the
very ones making the proclamation?
Mark 1: 15 “and saying,
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God
is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel." [THIS MEANS THE
ENTIRE BIBLE, NOT JUST CULLED QUOTES].
1st. Tim.6:1-6 “Let all who are under the yoke of slavery regard their masters
as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be
defamed. …If
any one teaches otherwise and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord
Jesus Christ [The ENTIRE Bible, not
just parts of it] and the teaching which accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit, he knows
nothing; he has a morbid craving for controversy and for disputes about words,
which produce envy, dissension, slander, base suspicions, and wrangling among
men who are depraved in mind and bereft of the truth, imagining that godliness
is a means of gain. There is great gain in
godliness with contentment”
Romans 2: 4-6 Or do you presume upon the riches of his kindness and
forbearance and patience? Do you not know that God's kindness is meant
to lead you to repentance? But by your
hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of
wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed. For he will render
to every man according to his works:
Ezek.18: 21 to 28 “
"But if a wicked man
turns away from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all my
statutes and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live;
he shall not die.
None of the transgressions which he has committed
shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness which he has done he
shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord GOD,
and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? But when a
righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and
does the same abominable things that the wicked man does, shall he live?
None of the righteous deeds which he has done shall be
remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has
committed, he shall die.
"Yet you say, `The way of
the Lord is not just.' Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it
not your ways that are not just? When a righteous man turns away from his
righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die for it; for the iniquity which
he has committed he shall die.
Again, when a wicked
man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is lawful and
right, he shall save his life.
Because he considered and turned away
from all the transgressions which he had committed, he shall surely live, he
shall not die“.
2. But none
us abides everything. BUT despite of this God has sent His Son [so God‘s Commandments and Teachings are mere
suggestions???] … The
wages of sin is death, but the gift of god is eternal life through Jesus Christ
our Lord [Rom.6:23]. Yes, god so
loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him may not
die but have eternal life. [John 3:16]
Like Paul Harvey [may he rest in Peace] used to say
: “HERE IS
THE REST OF THE STORY!”
Same Bible Author, same Book and same chapter.
NOTICE that in the same book and chapter that Jesus Himself
gives TWO ADDITIONAL
Essential
conditions…
for possible salvation. And
even this is not the entire list of required elements of salvation;
nor does Jesus say that it is.
I
repeat: it is owing to his favor that
salvation is yours through faith. That is not your doing. It is gods gift; neither is it a reward
for anything you have accomplished.
Is this actually correct?
Heb.6: 10 “For God is not so unjust as to
overlook your work and the love which you showed for his sake in
serving the saints, as you still do.”
Rev.2: 23 “and I will strike her
children dead. And all the churches shall know that I am he who searches mind
and heart, and I will give to each of you as
your works deserve.”
1 Peter 1: 17 “Now if you
invoke as Father him who judges impartially
according to each one's works, conduct yourselves with reverence
during the time of your sojourning, “ [This
means while you’re trying to fulfill all of the necessary elements required BY
GOD, for our salvation].
John Chapter 3: [5] Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is
born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
John 3:[15] that whoever believes in him may have eternal
life.????" [16]
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in
him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God sent the Son into the world, not to
condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. [18] He who believes in him is not condemned;
he who does not believe is condemned already, [SAME as belief in Christ real Presence] because he has not believed in the name of
the only Son of God. [19] And this is the judgment, that the light has
come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their
deeds were evil. [20] For every one who does evil hates the light, and does
not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. [21] But he who does what is true
comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been
wrought in God … [35] the Father loves the Son, and has given all
things into his hand. [36]
He who believes
in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the
wrath of God rests upon him.” [ALL OF THIS IS FROM THE SAME AUTHOR,
CHAPTER AND BOOK]
Nevertheless, knowing that a man is not
justified by legal observance [as a FYI:
this actually refers back to the 613 additions to the original 10 commandments]
but by faith in Jesus Christ… for by works of “the law” no one shall be
justified. Gal. 2:16
Repent of
your sins because Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for them. Not
just Original sin; but all sins. The Apostle John wrote the blood of his son
Jesus cleanses us from all sin. 1st. John 1:7
1st. John 1: 5-10 “This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to
you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we
have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live
according to the truth;
but if we walk in
the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the
blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us. If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If
we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” … and what does this mean? John 20: 21-23 “Jesus
said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me,
even so I send you." And when he had said this, he breathed on
them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. [23] If you forgive the sins of any,
they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
God says it is Christ who saves [we Catholics are in COMPLETE agreement with this statement]. Don’t
allow yourself to be sidetracked either by people who think they can be saved
by works [alone assumed here?]
or by the Catholic Churches claim that they dispense salvation. [Jesus Himself in Person Gave the “key to Heavenly
access to ONLY Peter and through Peter, to the CC… Matt. 16] The Church
says the sacrament of Penance is necessary for salvation…[EXCUSE
Me Thomas; but my friend, its Christ HIMSELF [John 20:19-23] who is Commanding it; the CC is just following God’s
DIRECT - Order]
… There in no offense,
NO SIN, no matter how serious that Catholic Priest who ARE ACTING With,
Through, In AND for CHRIST cannot forgive…
Except for Denial of God Himself. It remains Christ who forgives the
sins with the priest permission.
QUOTING the
Catechism of the CC # 982:
|
982 There is no offense,
however serious, that the Church cannot forgive. "There is no one,
however wicked and guilty, who may not confidently hope for forgiveness,
provided his repentance is honest. Christ who died for all men desires that
in his Church the gates of forgiveness should always be open to anyone who
turns away from sin
|
1441 “Only God forgives sins“. Since he is the Son of God, Jesus says of himself, "The
Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins" and exercises this divine
power: "Your sins are forgiven." Further, by virtue of his divine
authority he gives this power to men to exercise in his name”
[See above John 20:20-23, and this: Matt. 16: 18-19]
“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this
rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against
it. I [Jesus] will give you {Peter} [SINGULAR] the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and
whatever you
loose on
earth shall
be loosed in heaven." And
passed to other Apostles and therefore the CC in Matt. 18:18 “Truly, I
say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever
you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
1444 “In imparting to his apostles his own power to forgive sins the Lord also gives them the authority to reconcile sinners with the Church. This ecclesial dimension of their task is expressed most notably in Christ's solemn words to Simon Peter: "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." "The office of binding and loosing which was given to Peter was also assigned to the college of the apostles united to its head."
1446 “Christ instituted the sacrament of Penance
for all sinful members of his Church: above all for those who, since Baptism,
have fallen into grave sin, and have thus lost their baptismal grace and
wounded ecclesial communion. It is to them that the sacrament of Penance
offers a new possibility to convert and to recover the grace of justification.
The Fathers of the Church present this sacrament as "the second plank [of
salvation] after the shipwreck which is the loss of grace”
These are also from the same
Catechism. So my friends, do you belief mortal man; Thomas or Jesus Christ who
is the God who will Judge us? And actually
we DO NOT claim to “dispense salvation”. What we do claim, and what is
biblically provable is that the Bible and logic, supported by secular history
all confirm and affirm that all Salvation MUST
FLOW THROUGH the Catholic Church. WHY? Because the CC is the ONLY
Church and only set of Faith beliefs given by God, and therefore the singular
truth. AMEN! And because it is God’s Will and God’s own plan.
James 1:21-27 “Therefore
put away all filthiness and rank growth of wickedness and receive with meekness
the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not
hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if any one is a hearer of the word and
not a doer, he is like a man who observes his natural face in a mirror; for he
observes himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But he who looks into the
perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer that forgets
but a doer that acts, he shall be blessed in his doing. If any one thinks
he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this
man's religion is vain. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God
and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and
to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
It seems extremely PRUDENT to
ask oneself at this point; “is Faith Only” actually biblical?
1st. Peter 3: 18: “For Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the
unrighteous, that he might bring us to God[?],
being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit; ..Phil.2: 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as
in my presence but much more in my absence, work
out your own salvation with fear and trembling; … Romans 13:11-14 “Besides
this you know what hour it is, how it is full time now for you to wake from
sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when
we first believed; the night is far gone, the day is at hand. Let us
then cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light; let us conduct ourselves becomingly as in the day, not in
reveling and drunkenness, not in debauchery and licentiousness, not in
quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no
provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires“. .. 2nd.Cor.7:10 “For
godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret,
but worldly grief produces death” ..Heb.5:9 “and
being made perfect he became the source of
eternal salvation to all who obey him, .. Heb. 6:10 “For God is not so unjust as to overlook
your work and the love which you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.” ..1st. Peter 1: 14-16 “As obedient children, do not be conformed to the
passions of your former ignorance,
but as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am
holy." .. 1st. Peter 2: 1-5
“So put away all malice and all guile
and insincerity and envy and all slander. Like newborn babes, long for
the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow
up to salvation; for you have
tasted the kindness of the Lord. Come to him, to that living stone, rejected by
men but in God's sight chosen and precious..” 2nd.
Peter 3: 14-17 “Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish,
and at peace. And count
the forbearance of our Lord as salvation. So also our beloved brother Paul
wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, speaking of this as he does in
all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand,
which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own
destruction, as they do the other scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing
this beforehand, beware lest you be carried away with the error of lawless men
and lose your own stability.” ..
Here’s a
brief Catholic Explanation of God’s own Commanded process of Salvation
Please
take note of the fact that I am using the Bible as supporting evidence of the
Catholic Position. “Bible church Protestants” swear it is the ONLY reliable and
solid evidence for learning RIGHT Faith beliefs and so we shall use it to
support ALL of our Catholic teachings and beliefs. This is not intended as a complete
teaching on this subject; rather it’s aim is to
point out major differences in our basic-Faith- beliefs. In What Christ
taught; the bibles say’s and what Protestant CHOOSE to believe.
It is a
completely correct theological understanding that humanity by themselves,
cannot “earn” their salvation. It is equally true that God, in a mystery only He can
understand does require humanity to MERIT sufficient graces to attain our own
salvation. The
FACT that God demands our freewill- co-operation as a condition of our
salvation is a mystery only He can unravel. Our freewill correctly used and
applied must correspond with specific conditions; conditions that God Himself
ordains. This predicated fact is fully
supported by the way we are Created to emulate God Himself. We are to cooperate
with God’s plan; and God’s grace in able to merit [in the manner He specifies]
what are the essential elements of our own personal salvation.
Of ALL
created things in the Universe; only humanity can rationalize and choose to love. In order to do this requires the
“God-like” attributes of a mind, intellect, and a freewill which are
permanently attached to our souls; which emulate God Himself because they are
Spiritual things, which cannot die or be killed. While our bodies die; this
Spiritual package of gifs live on for eternity.
The man,
made easy philosophy that teaches that “all that is required for ones
“salvation” is to ask God to “be my personal Lord and Savior” may make one all
warm and fuzzy inside. But it will not get one to heaven. It will not bring of itself salvation. Believing that anyone can or will attain
participation in Christ Glory without first sharing in Christ Passion and
suffering is a naïve, foolish, even nonsensical teachings of mortal men; who themselves claim to know more and or
know better that the God Inspired Bible. [2nnd. Tim 3:16] Protected [John 17:15-19] and Guided Catholic Church. [John 14:16-17; fulfilled in John 20:21-22]
…These verses
provide direct evidence of Christ teaching and personal commitment to the
catholic Church. One
can know this based on the fact that when these words were written; the only
Church and only Christian Faith in the ENTIRE World; was today’s Catholic
Church and our Faith-belief -teachings.
“Take Up your Cross and Follow Me”
Phil.2: 8 “And
being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death,
even death on a cross Luke.9 :23 And he said to all, "If any man would come after
me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Mark.8: 34 And he called to him the multitude with his disciples,
and said to them, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself
and take up his cross and follow me. Luke.9: 23 And he said to all, "If any man would come after
me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke.14: 7 Whoever does not bear his own cross and
come after me, cannot be my disciple.”
1Pet.5: 1, 9 “So
I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the
sufferings of Christ as well as a partaker in the glory that is to be revealed.
Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experience of suffering
is required of your brotherhood throughout the world.”
1Pet.4: 13 ” But rejoice in so far as you share
Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his
glory is revealed.
Phil.1: 29 “For it has been granted to you that for
the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer
for his sake, “
2Thes.1: 5 “This is evidence of the righteous
judgment of God, that you may be made worthy of the kingdom of God, for which
you are suffering “
Heb. 2: 10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist,
in bringing many sons to glory, should make the pioneer of their salvation
perfect through suffering.
2Tim.4: 5 “As for you, always be steady, endure suffering,
do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
Correctly understood is the realization that MUCH of this
“suffering” has to do with subjecting ones own freewill and fully comply in
humble obedience to everything that Christ teaches, and to those that He
Himself chose and placed in authority.
John 20:19-22 “On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the
doors being shut where the
disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said
to them, "Peace be with you." When he had said this, he showed them
his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the
Father has sent me, even so I send you."
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them,
"Receive the Holy Spirit.” [THIS MEANS WITH GOD’S OWN POWERS AND GODS OWN AUTHORITY]
Does God do this for you’re pastor? NO he does not.
Matt.10:
1-8 “And
he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean
spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every infirmity. The names of the twelve
apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew
his brother; James the son of Zeb'edee, and John his brother; Philip and
Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus,
and Thaddaeus; Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. These
twelve Jesus sent out, charging them, "Go nowhere among the Gentiles, and
enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house
of Israel. And preach as you go, saying, `The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' [THIS
WAS CHANGED TO THE ENTIRE WORLD IN MATT:28:19-20] Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out
demons. You received without paying, give
without pay. Which explains what these same powers and this same authority of
God Himself still exist exclusively in Christ Own Catholic Church.
It always
and every time begins by God imitative of offering GRACE; the First key element
Rom.3: 24 “they
are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in
Christ Jesus, “
If the Grace is accepted and correctly applied this leads
to Faith; the next key element”
Rom.5:1-2 “Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have obtained access to this
grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory
of God.”
Rom.1: 17 “For
in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith;
as it is written, "He who through faith is righteous shall
live."
Next
are a SERIES of Full and Complete Obedience ISSUES:
Psalms 127:1 "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord
watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain."
The
Commandments:
Mt.17:19 And Know my friends that the 10
Commandments are only categories of sin: not the entire list.
To the CC and the Pope and Magesterium:
2 John 8-9 Anyone
who is so “progressive” as not to remain in the teaching of the Christ does not
have God; whoever remains in the teaching has the Father and the Son
Acts.20: 28 “Take heed to
yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you
overseers, to care for the church of God [“the Catholic Church” SINGULAR] which he obtained with the blood of his own Son.”
Romans 13: 2 “Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has
appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.”
Eph. 4: 1-7 “I
therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the
calling to which you have been called, with all lowliness and meekness, with
patience, forbearing one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one
Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God
and Father of us all,
who is above all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each of us
according to the measure of Christ's gift.
John.10: 16 “And I have other sheep,
that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice.
So there shall be one flock, one shepherd”
John 5: 37 “; and you do not have his word abiding in
you, for you do not believe him whom he has sent. You search the scriptures, because
you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to
me; yet you refuse to come to me that
you may have life [Speaking of accepting the entire WORD of GOD]. I do
not receive glory from men. [Meaning disobedience is rampant!] But I know that you have not the love of
God within you. I have come in my
Father's name, and you do not receive me” [Obey Me! Accept MY teaching as those I CHOOSE relate them
to you.]
Then there is the necessity to KNOW [AND FULLY ACCEPT] the Gospels
and WHAT THEY Actually teach which requires the CC.
Plus there
is the issue of Good Works and Charity [James Chapter 2]
We also see when all is said
and done on Judgment day (Matt 25), those
who will be saved are ONLY those who can answer yes to the series of
questions. Did you feed me
when I was hungry, clothe me when I was naked, visit me in prison, or when I
was sick, invite me in when I was a stranger...etc, These questions were not a
matter of simple belief, but of works.
Heb.6: 10 “For God is not so unjust as to overlook your work
and the love which you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still
do.”
Rev.2: 23 “and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches shall
know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you
as your works deserve.”
1 Peter 1: 17 “Now
if you invoke as Father him who judges impartially according to each one's
works, conduct yourselves with reverence during the time of your sojourning, “
And let us
NOT forget the Forgiveness of SINS which CAN [and will] ONLY happen in the
manner Jesus Himself gives to all of humanity as an OFFER through the Sacrament
of Confession. ANYONE
who dies with Unconfessed; Unforgiven Mortal sins; DOOMS themselves to Hell for
all eternity.
1John.1 Verses 8 to 10 "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth
is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive
our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned,
we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
1John.5 Verses 16 to 17 "If any one sees his brother committing what is not a mortal
sin, he will ask, and God will give him life for those whose sin is not mortal.
There is sin which is mortal; I do not say that one is to pray for that.
All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin
which is not mortal.
John.20 Verses 20 to 23" When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his
side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them
again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send
you." And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to
them, "Receive the
Holy Spirit. If
you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any,
they are retained"
… These are Christ Own Words; God’s own command. Are so proud as to choose to
ignore or deny them? …To
deny this teaching of Jesus Himself IS denial of God!
Each and
EVERY ONE of the COMMANDS MUST BE Fulfilled and maintained in our lives IF we
are to attain our own salvation. Why God
Commands this is a Mystery; the FACT that he does is Biblical!
RECAP of SALVATION MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS
It always and every time
begins by God initiative of offering GRACE; the
First key element
Rom.3: 24 “they are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, “
If the Grace is accepted and correctly applied this leads to
Faith; the next key element”
Rom.5:1-2 “Therefore,
since we are justified by faith,
we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have obtained access to this grace in
which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God.”
Rom.1: 17 “For in it the righteousness of
God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written,
"He who through faith is righteous shall live."
Next are a SERIES of Full
and Complete Obedience ISSUES:
The Commandments: Mt.17:19 And Know my friends that the 10 are categories of
sin: not the entire list.
To the CC and the Pope and Magesterium: Mt. 16:18-19; Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 20:28
2 John 8-9 Anyone who is so “progressive” as not to remain in
the teaching of the Christ does not have God; whoever remains in the teaching
has the Father and the Son
John 5: 37 “; and you do not have his word abiding in you, for
you do not believe him whom he has sent. You search the scriptures, because you
think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to come to me that you may

glory from men. [Meaning disobedience is rampant!] But I know that you have not
the love of God within you. I have come
in my Father's name, and you do not receive me” [Obey Me!]
Eph.1 :13 to 14 “In him you also, who have
heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in
him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, which is the guarantee of our
inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.”
Then there is the issue of
Good Works and Charity:
We also see when all is said
and done on Judgment day (Matt
25), those who will be saved are ONLY
those who can answer yes to the series of questions. [NO; NOT ONLY BUT
ONE OF THE CRITICAL COMPONENTS..PJM] Did you feed me when I was hungry,
clothe me when I was naked, visit me in prison, or when I was sick, invite me
in when I was a stranger...etc, These questions were not a matter of simple
belief, but of works. .., Heb.6: 10 “For God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the
love which you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still
do.” Rev.2: 23 “and I will strike her children

And let us NOT forget the
Forgiveness of SINS which CAN ONLY happen in the manner Jesus Himself gives to
all of humanity as an OFFER through the Sacrament of Confession. ANYONE who dies with Unconfessed; Unforgiven
Mortal sins; DOOMS themselves to Hell for all eternity.
As
1John.5 Verses 16 to 17 "If any one sees his brother committing what

sin is not mortal. There is sin which is
mortal; I do not say that one is to pray

Christ, in Whom all Salvation rest. Do you listen to God or your preacher?
Each and EVERY ONE of the
COMMANDS MUST BE Fulfilled and maintained in our lives IF we are to attain our own
salvation.
The thief on the cross is
often brought up as an example of simply calling on the name of Jesus. What
they might miss is the fact he confesses his sins, defends Christ from the
verbal attack of the other thief, and then asks Christ into his heart....no
doubt Christ is Mercy and knows our heart well enough to know our sincerity and
can distinguish between true love & repentance vs. fear of judgment.
Jesus Himself commands that
Baptism is a REQUIREMENT for our salvation. This “good” Thief earned and was granted by Jesus Baptism of
Desire: One of the three possible forms God accepts.
John 15: 26-27
SETS UP WHO CJRIST IS SPEAKING TOO IN JOHN 16:26-27 “But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to
you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he
will bear witness to me; and you also are
witnesses, because you have been with me from the beginning. … John 16: 12-15 "I have yet many things to
say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the
Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; [Christ
hear is speaking to the Apostles and through THEM to today’s CC] for he
will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and
he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is
mine and declare it to you. “ THIS IS
FULFILLED IN JOHN 20:21-22
